Shakespeare’s comedy moved into a psychiatric clinic, where Katarina is worked on until she fits the norm. Matveeva built it entirely in grey — grey walls, grey tiles underfoot, grey screens on castors, a grey bath — under the hard vertical light of strip lamps.
